My poor poor Blueberry bush!
We got a blueberry bush earlier in the year and he actually did quite well and gave fruit. But then I realised the dogs had liked using him a weeing post so the fruit was left on the tree to die. Then there was the hot weather and the drought order on our area so he didn’t nearly get enough visits from Mr Watering Can. Not only that, but he lived in the shade of a hedge and was planted in the ground so was probably being starved of all things good for him.
So we decided to uproot him (along with the raspberry and goosberry bushes) and give them nice new pots with compost, totally non-organic fertilser tablets, a mixture of sunlight and shade and the water they deserve. This is him now:

…and that’s after we trimmed away the brownest of brown leaves. I’ll keep you post on how with love and fertiliser he comes back to life or not.
Update:
Well… the tree gradually died more and more each day until it looked like a thick twig. The kind of thick twig that our dogs love to play with and they had it out the pot and all over the garden. And here ends that experiment! (…and I had do spend an age looking for fertiliser pellets on the lawn).
