A post from a Sad Quixtar IBO
This following post, isn’t by me, but was posted as a comment to another posting. I thought it was so good that it had to make the front page. The poster left their name simply as SadIBO
1) The business has a lot of flaws. You got to make a hell lot of purchases and you get a pennyful of PVs. It takes approx $290 to make 100PV and then you get a $9 check !!! Let me tell you Qx guys, if I go to the most thrift store, I’ll get more than $9 discount if I am ready to spend $290. This is when you start.
2) With every weekly meeting, new mysteries unfold. You come to know that you’ve to start purchasing everything from a little damn tape to books and what not. It is not optional, if you’re mistaken. Your upline is damn trained to convince your sub-conscious so that you start purchasing the stuff yourself. You, as poor IBO, hold head high and you made the purchase decision yourself, independently ![]()
3) Your upline tells you that it’s a decent model and got to start day dreaming. They will show you those age old vidoes of Diamonds (whatever heck it is) and keep repeating for ever and ever. And, even though, it becomes unbearingly boring, but you still got to listen and watch with interest and clap like a crazy child.
4) Although your upline will convince you that it’s just 4-5 hrs / week of work, but it’s like always a work - 7 days a week and 24 hrs.
5) And, how do you start expanding your business, here is the dark secret !!! —
You stand inside malls, shopping centres, restaurants, etc like an idiot, trying to lure people out of no use. You meet somebody and try to convince him but fail. Later you realize that the guy was already aware of my stupid idea even before I had joined the business. SO EVERYBODY IN THE TOWN KNOWS THAT QX GUYS ARE ALLERGIC, SO STAY AWAY !!!
I have lot more to say, like the artificial smile, psychophancy by upline, artificial/temporary help, mystery unwinding every meeting, your house turning into a dumping store, etc. but want to control myself for now.
All the best to those who want to waste their time with Qx, as I already did and am regreting it now after being with it for almost a year.

It’s all very smart psychology. They get you signed up on a wave of excitement. You start off small, purchase your 100 PV, get the $9 check.
Wow, fired up, the system works! Then upline slowly starts raising the bar on you. At first they may loan you a tape/cd, and later they will advise you to get your own standing order because a “serious” business owner would do that. At first you are invited to functions, but later you are expected to attend every meeting without failure because a “serious” business owner would do that.
Before you know it, you may have sponsored a few people but you find that your bottom line is a loss. Now you either have to press on or finally break free and quit. But even quitting can be tough when you have been taught that people outside the business are”negative” or “broke losers”.
A very rare few can overcome all of this and move onto bigger pins, but inevitably, there will be a long trail of “dead bodies”, or IBOs who lost money for your benefit.
It’s why quixtar is not a great deal for the vast majority.

Actually, the products are an incredible value. Your comparison them to Walmart or a thrift store shows me why you’re confused. A proper comparison would be a department store like JC Penny or Hects or a supplement store like GNC. Apples to apples, the savings are incredible.
As one example, Artistry and Revlon don’t compete. Artistry competes with Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, and Chanel. Yes, it cost more than Walmart brands, but it is very proce competitive with the department store brands with whih it competes…

Javert,
JC penneys doesn’t sell laundry detergent or cleaning supplies do they?
I have yet to see a neutral comparison where quixtar products are cheaper overall. I agree that some quixtar products may be a good value, but not when you look at them as a whole.
Remember that quality is subjective.
