By the year 2010 Quixtar will have created 42,000 American millionaires

I like to bring my own responses to people’s comments on articles to the front. To give them the “airtime” they deserve really. This is a response to Have you ever thought of working to becoming an Amway or Quixtar diamond? by someone who goes by the name of Adam. My responses follow his…

yes please do keep your uninformed posts to yourself, as a quixtar IBO i can say that this business is everything i thought it was when it was shown to me not only that but much more. you quit becuase you didnt have a reason to build it

We had every reason to build it. All the things the business purported to be able to bring to us, we wanted. We were desperate to make it work. Don’t give me that “you didn’t have a reason” crap.

simple fact is by the year 2010 quixtar will have created 42000 american millionaires. no other business will ever do that is such a small time frame.

Ahem, *cough*, if you’re stating quantifiable facts then lets see your sources, reference where you’re quoting that from.

there are no “under-table meetings but you do need to meet certian business requirement to be allowed into some of them, and for a good reason if you cant build yourself to that level you dont have the right to be there, its all about delayed gratification. when you can prove what you say then you should post it with links to the proof.

That’s kinda ironic given my reply to your previous bit. No, I don’t have any hard facts about the underlying way the business is run. But then NOR DO YOU. And I’ve read so many more convincing stories and anecdotes from people who have been in the business (people that DID “make it”) that are truly convincing - these stories that all spill the beans on the bad things that go on. On the other hand, the stories from people STILL in Amway or Quixtar are usually self promotional, rabid or over defensive.

umm for anyone thats would like to see if quixtar really is a great oppertunity or not check this out

The Better Business Bureau stamp isn’t an endorsement of anything. Merely that the company in question is willing to work to a set of rules. And Quixtar - as a supplier of good to you - does that. It’s not Quixtar I have a problem with as such. It’s the guys running the show in the system.

Errr what are those things you’re arguing over?

have u guys ever heard of the pyramid scheme?? no matter how this is painted, structured, run, etc, its what it is, a pyramid scheme

  3. Damian Says:

Quixtar and companies a like are like any business. There goal is to make money. They try to help your business make you more money but it will cost you. Companies like this do have experts and know what they are talking about but remember they aren’t free. I would suggest if you don’t know how to run your business properly then maybe you shouldn’t be in that business. But be warned to get guys like this to help you it will cost and i tend to find they point you in the right direction but you still have to do the hard work yourself, there isn’t any shortcuts.

  4. Dan Says:

This a plain and simple pyramid scheme… I wouldn’t try and touch this with a ten foot pole. The only way you will generate money is to get your friends or acquaintances to join as referrals or such. If you would do that to a friend, that’s sad….

  5. john Says:

What the hell is the point in creating so many millionaires? In fee market its not possible because inflation will just take away yoru 5 seconds of glory.

  6. Ricardo Says:

I know a guy who joined them, and spent many (seven or so) years building up his “business”. He had abandoned his regular job and had quite a bit of success. After he turned 60, he said to a couple of people there that he would “slow down a bit”. A week later he got a letter informing him that due to some fine-print thing in his contract, they were now taking ALL his business and he was left with nothing. Due to the contract, there was no appeal and he was left with nothing. life ruined. My dad had to spend a couple of 72 hour suicide watches on the poor guy. Try explain this to an Amway person, they won’t even admit it is standard procedure. When you Amway/Quixtar/Whatever - RUN!

  7. Jack Says:

Boy, there are some really ignorant responses to this thread.

To femi and Dan — Neither one of you even knows what a pyramid scheme is. Do YOU? Your Uncle Bob, cousin Erma or even more likely some drunk you were talking to in a bar, said, ” Yeah all those networking companies are pyramids and they are all bad.” Am I close?

The truth is: Pyramids are illegal. Amway and Quixtar, (which is just a subsidiary of Amway,) have been around for nearly a century. Do you, in any stretch of the imagination, think that the U.S. Gov. would allow an illegal business to operate a pyramid for that long without shutting them down? Who taught you how to think? Obviously, no one.

Now before you go and say, “Aw he’s just an Amway distributor defending them..” I don’t have anything to do with them. The have bad compensation plans. It is hard to make money with them. However, anyone who takes the time to learn how to run a business knows — it can be done.

There are all kinds of multi-level marketing companies out there and sadly most of them will crash and burn, not because they are evil or bad, because, they are either greedy or ill prepared.

Ninety five percent of all MLM distributors fail. Why? Because, it’s your own business.
America used to thrive on small business, it was the American Dream. Do you know how many people succeed in small business? The numbers are exactly the same, only 5%. Why, because they either get greedy or are ill prepared..

Why does one hardware store succeed, when another fails in the same town. It is the marketer or the marketing plan. Sadly, most people who get involved with MLM don’t have a plan. and because of that they are doomed from the start. And, sad to say, it’s really not their fault, but they think it is. Are they going to admit that. Hell no, What they say is: “It was a pyramid scheme and their evil., I was posessed and the Devil made me do it.”

Just like anything in life there are good companies and bad companies, but be assured of this: With the state of the ecomomy, the blindness of our goverment, the greed of large corporations, (look at what the oil companies just got away with,) MLM is the last hope for the little guy.

What are you going to do for your retirement? Think about that. 401ks’ are a joke; read Time Magazine from three weeks ago. Social Securtiy’s time is running out. Where else can you start your own business for as little as $200 in some cases. Watch out for the ones who want a lot of money up front. I know of two opportunities that have all five of the “pillars for success” in place that want even less than that to get started.

The biggest fallacy that gets tossed around is — we can make you a millionaire in 6 months. Watch out for those guys too. That’s what this whole thread is about. It’s ‘B.S. But, wouldn’t an extra $1000 a month help you with your retirement fund? Buy that boat you want, the car, send a child to college? Thousands of people are supplementing their incomes by Direct Sales and Word of Mouth advertising. Companies like Tupperware, Mary Kay and NuSkin are household names and we all know someone who markets them. They are not millionaires, but they are making money. and just like anything else, if you apply yourself and work hard, you can get rich. Make no mistake about it. It just doesn’t happen overnight.

Without direct sales you wouldn’t have vitamins. MLM companies pioneered and still fight for your right to take vitamins without a prescription. The FDA wants to take away that right. Does’nt that make you mad? It sure does me? Can you imagine how much vitamin C would cost if it were classed as a phamaceutical? To learn more about that, go to MLMWatchdog.com or Citazensforhealth.com. We’te in a fight.

OK I’ll get off of this soap box. Just get educated before you make cockamamy allegations about things you know nothing about. “Contempt prior to investigation is the Mother of Ignorance.”

And just for the record. The United States Goverment and every large corporation in America falls into the catagory of PYRAMID SCHEME the way it is defined by the Federal Trade Commision. Go to their website and you can take a look for yourself.

  8. K Says:

To bad for Jack that he spent alot of time defending an organization in which he can only read about or do research over to come to conclusions and find facts to make himself look clever in the faces of other people stating their opinions.

But lets add this tid-bit of information to my post. I worked for Quixtar and what has been said above minus Jack is bordering the truth yet uneducated truth. Here is what we are told in the meetings.

Quixtar is legally not a pyramid. Using techniques of minimum sale requirements… taxes… purchasing requirements… the government can monitor all sales and consider each person an individual personal business. Therefore, making it all legal.

Here’s the problem, in Quixtar a business owner must purchase a certain number of product per month in order to qualify for your revenue check. This usually comes to approx. $275-$400 per month. So you must purchase your startup kit ($150) and then pay the money above per month to be able to recieve any revenue whatsoever. All right now you have to get people (showing the plan as they call it) to come to some meetings get into the plan and then register AND spend the $275-$400 per month so that you can get there point value under your account in which you gain $7.50 for there monthly spending. After so many people under you, you begin achieving brackets called eagles, rubies, emeralds, and diamonds (with some more in there but for this discussion unimportant) all of which allow you to get more money for the same amount of points that you are gaining from the people under you.

Here’s another problem though. They sit you down to focus your “plan” to family members, friends, and acquaintences which is really low. Being a real business owner you do not mix family and business it’s simple, it causes problems. And then after you supposedly go through everybody that you know then they direct your attention towards an audience of consumers in malls, retail sales, and in every day life. The targets are people in low wage jobs who want a “quick” way to make money. Basically, the bottom line is that (and as someone put inflation into the subject up above which is not the case) this process preys on the little guy (certainly not helping him) to spend the money on quality products that he/she certainly does NOT need with money that they don’t have. Then you can really succeed faster and make more money if you pay these guys for consulting and business building materials. Money from the poor with practical but pretty much false hopes, giving money to the rich. I lost the rich taste in my mouth when that became apparent to me.

People will make it and I congratulate those individuals. It’s a business and good luck to all those that are going to try it. I worked it and found that I was still practically making the person above me way richer then myself. That’s why I started my own business in which I work for the consumer and that’s how I like it.

  9. K Says:

To add if this company is for you then by all means try it. Again it’s not illegal but please don’t try this company if you ever worry about paying next months bills. The above information from my post is unbiased and the numbers stated are an average of several different months of purchasing and selling therefore it will be different for all. This information is for Research and Development for those exposing themselves to Quixtar and its affilliates. I am in no way condoning the business of or bashing the business of this organization.

Good luck to the individuals who are going to try it.

  10. OK Says:

Ya but people don’t understand.. I’ve taken two MLM companies, and I do say they have their good points, but the only way your going to be successful in that business is if you are motivated to doing it. I wasn’t so I practically dropped out, and now I’m just using those similar techniques in what I was trained for, and use it on my own business :) .

In a way it makes you more aware on how businesses run, and not just save and spend a million dollars on one AD, and try to make profit from customers who see that AD. MLM taught me how to practically save. MLMs are at risk but if you play the right cards then you win. Then again everything is a risk in life, but there is always oppurtunities to learn, and thats where most people are scared to jump into because it might hurt them.

As for pyramid schemes etc.. practically everything is a pyramid. Work is a pyramid.. the CEOS are making more money then your regular paycheck. You work under somebody thats a pyramid.. Hell work is worse then those MLMs because you don’t benefit of making more money at your regular contracted paycheck unless the top person tells you to get promoted. MLMs have sorta the same thing just you can make more money at your will, and you don’t have to wait for somebody to tell you that you got promoted to the next level. Thats the only difference.. but if you do decide to go for an MLM type company, research on low cost investments and the benefits that come in that payment, and also to what you might be interested in. Thats what I’ve learned, and in a way has made me think better about business.

As for Amway and quixtar.. Amyway is a load of dung becuase you have to stock inventories, and if nobody buys your scrwed. Quixtar they say its good but there is always a catch to investment, but it does have more then Amway and most MLMs, which is good. Remember joining MLMs make sure there is no INVENTORY, and it’s low cost investment with great benefits in long term.

  11. Jerry Says:

This is a scam, yes a legal scam, but a scam none the less. Why even argue about this, if you are stupid, didnt finish college, and want to peddle shitty merchandice to your family, and friends… go for it. I on the other hand wont, in fact i’ll get a real job, and keep my friends and family. I still cant believe how many stupid/poor people there are in this country.

*as for all you grammer Nazis= E-people dont deserve proper spelling and grammar.

  12. Doe Says:

Jerry above. I’m in the same boat as K. Please don’t bash something you know nothing about. I’ve seen people in the Quixtar business who made lots of money and are well educated before hand start up. If it’s a scam, it would be illegal. Can you know LEGAL scams? Actual legal scams. By talking about things you don’t know about makes you uneducated yourself. Just saying their mechandise is shitty is a test to your lack of knowledge. Yes they may have some bad products, but they do have some of the best products such as vitamins, water purifers, and some basic cosmetics. Don’t claim you’re smarter than everyone else, because at the end of the day, your JOB is a POS. Businesses make you money, not a 9-5. I’m not in Quixtar, but I own my own business. I’ve made 100x times more money in my business than ever in a 9-5. So please, keep your uneducated comments to yourself.

  13. Jerry Says:

i dont care what kind of merchandice they have, all im saying is the reason quickstar is popular is because people are stupid enough to participate in it. And theres plenty of stupid people here in america. Get a real job, you damn slackers.

  14. Jerry Says:

btw there are plenty of legal scams…for example the lottery/scratch off tickets. also its impossible to uneducate oneself unless you take a large rock and hit your head with it multiple times. People that use quickstar are uneducated to begine with, and therefore i dont care about them. What i really dont get is why do smart people defend this stupid line of work. also i dont care if your great uncles second cousin twice removed made a fortune in quickstar, because the guys organizing this legal pyramid scheme have probably made a fortune off of each and every person they employ. if you make $10000 the guys at quickstar headquarters are making (im guessing) $30000 off of you.

  15. Ogremeister Says:

Yeah. Heave ho sally forth. I just bought a scratch ticket the other day for one dollar. A 7-11-21. It’s got four games with three numbers each, if all three numbers in each game add up to 7, 11, or 21, you win the given prize for that game. I just got a $2,000 winner. Although i have spent about $570 in my life on tickets until now, I really can’t say it is a scam. It’s more like playing a trading card game.

And Doe, I would like to accuse you of exaggeration and/or lying in your shout. I really don’t think you would be bitching about stupid meaningless crap on this page if you made 100x what you made at a 9-5. Even at 100x minimum wage after two years you’d be a millionaire, oh wait. I guess you work at Quixtar.

  16. Adam Says:

well im done posting any reply on this subject on this board anymore im a quixtar IBO and i make money and i dont exploit any one i dont conduct any type of illegal business

and i have better things to do then to sit around and debat weither or not it works when i know it works becuase i make money .. and by the way i didnt by anything from myself for the first 6 months and i was makeing cash the whole time .. so i guess K is wrong about having to spend 400 $ or so a month, i guess i could tho if i really wanted to, dont take the advice of people who “work” for quixtar all they know is the technical side of this business they know very little about how to build it

  17. Zein Says:

If you failed at quickstar, it was clear you didnt have the disire, passion and attitude to grow it. If you succeeded at it, then obviously you shared a vision with fellow people like your selves and that is why you can piss champaigne off you yaught unlike those who type in this box continuously insulting a system which they dont understand. If a criminal steals a car and does not get caught, is it a crime?

The FTW has not yet investigated the tools business in quixtar.

  19. Joecool18 Says:

Wouldn’t 42 thousand millionaires equal 42 trillion dollars?

People really should do the math before making such ridiculous claims.

  20. Edamame Says:

Actually, it would only make 42 billion dollars…not to be snide, but do the math.

  21. Chris Andrews Says:

    42,000
    x
    £1,000,000
    =
    £42,000,000,000

Which is indeed 42 billion, (or 42 thousand million if you’re of the school of thought that a billion is a million million and not a thousand million).

So, have quixtar made 42 billion available for “profit share” even?

  22. Joecool18 Says:

My bad, missed the math, but the point is that the amount of money quixtar would have to supply to make that many millionaires is quite
a bit and quixtar/amway did not generate enough income to produce that many millionaires unless some of them were already there before joining the business.

  23. fay Says:

Adam, tell the truth. you say you are making money but are you talking about a 20 dollar check a month? Thats what I found out my friend in that business was making. where I come from we call that rebate.

  24. IBO Says:

Looking through some of you guys’ post, I see a lot of talk about a Pyramid Scheme….
Can someone tell me what exactly a Pyramid Scheme is? And also, if you decide to self define it, please give me an idea of where you work(business name/catagory). Thanks!!
