Perhaps staying in debt is your idea of a good life?
Another reply to Keith. This time in response to his comment on the Amway / Quixtar Open meetings article.
perhaps staying in debt is your idea of a good life?!! truth is, most people have settled into a life of complacency justifying what they have is enough when there are so many things yet to be experienced. I fell sorry for people that won’t ever get a chance to see the wonders of the world. I feel bad for those people that resign themselve to the fact that a great career is the ticket only to have their companies merging with somebody else and losing their job.
Nice rant. For a start, I don’t endose being in debt. In fact the opposite. I like my job as it happens and as a freelance IT contractor I’d have no problem if my current job no longer existed. I have the skills to earn an excellent wage in any company - in fact, I already earn what an Amway diamond would earn (according to the Amway literature). No, it isn’t a residual income, but then nor is an MLM income if you do the math. Read: “Residual Income, a Myth?“.
You’d also be shocked to learn Keith, that I don’t plan to do the 9-5 for the rest of my life. The plans I have for that don’t involve the following the life of an Amway / Quixtar IBO.
do you know what it’s liket o lose your job when it’s your only income soruce and you have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed? I wish you never have the chance to find out. For some people, this is their reality.
No, I don’t have a mortgage or children, so I don’t. I also don’t see what this has to do with Amway, Quixtar or what happens in Open Meetings?
for the love of christ, why can’t people have an open mind? If someone is willing to help me make an extra $2000 a month, why should I not listen to what they have to say? or better yet, let them help by me spending te $215 to register?
An open mind is what got us in to Amway in the first place. An open mind is what enabled us to break free once we saw the reality of the situation. If someone is willing to help you make some extra money, then go ahead and listen. If that person isn’t actually making money themselves then following them may not be so wise. If that person makes their money from “teaching” people to make $2000 a month and not from the actual opportunity itself then you’ve got to question their motives. I could offer you some Violin lessons - I can’t play, but I can try and teach you some time.
please do your homework before you give biased information.
I always do do my homework. This is another comment on this site that clearly hasn’t done theirs. They assume I’m against making money and that I’m against other people making money which is so far from the truth. They also assume that I’m against the home “Home Business” industry - again, I’m not. I’m against unscrupulous characters making money in unethical and often illegal ways.
It’s almost like Keith didn’t write this email, but instead wrote directly what I’ve heard on Amway “system” tapes 100 times before.

Amway is a human to human business.
By the way, this system rewards those who have HELPED others to succeed. Does your homework included understanding the value and meaning behind those rewards which Amway have stated clearly in the sales plan? Don’t you think you can explore this good opportunity when both parties will benefit from this TEACHING. Of course, you need to master the Amway’s skill before you start to teaching. Before we start working, didn’t we went throught colleage/unversity. In Amway community, you will find people with different skills, background, qualifications and ages working hard to achieves their dreams, freedom and secure their future finance with low risk. Can your current job allow you to fulfill these?

[…] I seem to spend my time replying to the responses on this site at the moment. And not concentrating on out other sites like our pet site, food additives site or the health and beauty pages. Anyways, someone called “Thinker” seems to be objecting to my response to Keith in the post Perhaps staying in debt is your idea of a good life?. My responses follow his… Amway is a human to human business. […]

The problem is that many people who present the plan are not upfront about the “real” costs of being dedicated and staying with the teaching system. If prospects were told up front, there would probably be fewer people signing up.

If you stay in quixtar, you will likely remain in debt (if you are core).
