Alfredo Medina, it’s all Spanish to me!

November 19th, 2007

There was a very long answer in Spanish to the Alfredo Medina, Quixtar Diamond post. So naturally I ran it through a translator. Here’s the translation…

Incidentally character interviewed this morning by friend Ernesto Villegas, I would like to address some issues that are not of Mr. Miguel Angel Cornejo.

Mr. Cornejo is part of this suite of lecturers to a company called AMWAY, very famous indeed, and with a character doctrinaire close to mormón, where “free enterprise” and the defense of globalization is a goal that can be tied to sermons linked to the self-esteem of middle class looking for a light that brings new ideals and that, of course, is not at odds with the income. That is, for those who might criticize my irony, a new form of religious indoctrination joined the American Way of Life. Read the rest of this entry »

End of the Amway Scam?

October 28th, 2007

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. Mostly because I’ve got better things to do. But I’ve recently been made aware of some interested changes in how Amway / Amivo is to be run in the UK. I’m not sure how it effect my old group WinBiz 21, their old website is blank (probably in compliance with the amnesty). Essentially Amway have turned a blind eye to the utter stinking turd that is the back end racket run but the major promoters and recruiters for a long time. But now, Amway in the UK is under an amnesty and there is no recruitment activity and no selling or motivational / training materials and no “Business Meetings” going on whilst they nail out a new set of operating policies. The World Wide Web empowers a few man-spirited… misingormed… and misguided malcontents

March 10th, 2007

This is a reply to a comment on the winbiz 21 page. The comment reads as follows:

Please read the book “World Wide Whiners” by Dr Steve Price. Negative blogs and Complaint Sites (like this one) dominate cyberspace. Why? Because the World Wide Web empowers a few man-spirited… misingormed…and misguided malcontents (like this one) to spread negativity about legitimate companies and reputable people

Don’t be pathetic Rob. I’m not whining, never have done. Your mindless quoting of Amway books with some pretense of manly bravado is one of the thing that pisses me off about the Amway robots. Of which you have proven to be. I won’t read that book, thanks. But then I didn’t start this site to pick on poor innocent companies.

Amway a legitimate company? Yeah. The bastards that lead you on in order to profit from your attendance of rallies and purchase of materials, No.

And for anyone like me, reaching for a dictionary (and I didn’t do this to be pedantic, I actually thought I was going to learn some new words):

man-spirited: I now assume he means mean-spirited. I like this one, I imaged a gnarly man in a loin cloth. But I’m odd like that.
misingormed: Again, I assume this was a typo. I actually looked this one up in case I’d missed out on a play on the word gormless. But alas, no.
malcontents:
1. A chronically dissatisfied person.
2. One who rebels against the established system:

Fair enough.
